Our goal is to investigate the influence of hypoxia, sleep and exercise on cardiometabolic health trajectories with molecular, pathophysiological and epidemiological approaches.
HP2 LABORATOIRE is a research Inserm unit based out of Grenoble Alpes Univeristy and Grenoble Alpes University hospital, France. The future of medicine relies on the ability to assess disease risk at an individual level, understand molecular mechanisms underlying progression of disease and aggregation of comorbidities and early initiation of personalized interventions. To achieve this goal of precision and personalized medicine in obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and advice for value-based care, we propose to conduct the following program:
• Use real world data, well-managed cohorts and wearable monitoring for enabling physiological profiling and identification of homogeneous groups of interest. Identify main obstructive sleep apnea clusters (composed of relevant individual, social and environmental context factors and their interdependencies).
• The ability of deep longitudinal profiling (“trajectories medicine”) is crucial for health-related discoveries. This implies to make available repeated deep phenotyping evaluations and to collect longitudinally multiple samples
• Identify clinically relevant molecular pathways identifying new targets for treatment and companion biomarkers. Incorporation of different pathways will be achieved by integrative personalized omics profiling.
• Validate pharmacological interventions and changes in behaviors in a prospective longitudinal strategy.
