HR Houston is a professional organization dedicated to the advancement of human resource management. The organization celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2018. From its original 12 members, HR Houston has grown into a dynamic organization of over 2,200 members representing a broad spectrum of Houston’s business community.
As an affiliate chapter of the 350,000 member Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), HR Houston is one of the larger SHRM chapters in the nation. The organization is an approved provider for continuing education credit for SHRM-CP/ SHRM-SCP and PHR/SPHR professional designations.
HR Houston offers a wide variety of meetings, workshops and conferences to HR professionals who value --

Each spring HR Houston hosts the Gulf Coast Symposium on HR issues and Exhibitor Showcase, one of the largest Human Resource management conferences in the United States. The Symposium has attracted over 1,500 HR practitioners who chose from 180+ educational sessions and visit a trade show with 200 providers of HR-related products and services. HR Houston is committed to bringing this popular conference back for 2021 that keeps everyone safe, while delivering the top-tier educational and networking experience our community expects--virtual, in-person or hybrid!!
