Established in 1954, Karnaphuli is one of Bangladesh’s most diversified business houses with interests in marketing, distribution, financial services, general insurance, telecommunications, print and electronic media, aviation, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, shipping and logistics.
Bangladesh is on track to become a top 30 global economy and as it continues its march forward, the profile and importance of the shipping sector will continue to grow in terms of enhanced efficiency and reduced costs. HR Lines Limited, as a Bangladesh company as well as a Bangladesh Flag Vessel Operator, commenced its operations from mid 2020 and is committed to providing its clients with premium services across transshipment hubs of Singapore, Colombo and Port Klang.
Currently, HR Lines is the only operator of Bangladesh Flag Container Vessels.
As a pure common user feeder operator with strict manning, safety and maintenance standards, HR Lines has been offering its SOC clients a seamless service, connecting supply chains.
All vessels operated by HR Lines are owned by the Karnaphuli Group. Currently, eight vessels (with a combined capacity of about 11,840 TEUs) have been registered under Bangladesh Flag.
Currently, two vessels are deployed on the Bangladesh Express Service (BES), calling Chattogram – Singapore - Port Klang - Chattogram, making it a weekly service.
Four vessels are deployed on the Chattogram Colombo Express Service (CCE) calling Chattogram – Colombo twice a week.
Our fleet size has grown swiftly yet in line with the demands of Bangladesh's booming trade growth and we plan on this expansion continuing.
Our vision is to be a premier container vessel operator in the region, flying the Bangladesh flag.
