The HRM Pension Plan is a multi-employer pension plan formed on April 1, 1998, as a result of the merger of the following pension plans sponsored by the Halifax Regional Municipality:
Prior City of Dartmouth Employees’ Retirement Pension Plan;
Prior Halifax County Municipality Full-time Retirement Pension Plan;
Prior City of Halifax Superannuation Plan; and
Prior Metropolitan Authority Employees’ Pension Plan
The HRM Pension Plan has approximately $3.1 billion in net assets, over 14,465 members and pensioners, and 11 participating employers.
