Hormuud Salaam Foundation

The Hormuud Salaam Foundation is the first and only corporate philanthropic organisation in Somalia. Hormuud Telecom and Salaam bank established the Foundation in 2013 to give back to the Somali people. Our wide range of philanthropic activities include public emergencies infrastructure, healthcare, education, youth engagement and microfinancing programmes. A particular focus of our work is on education as we believe that all Somali youth should benefit from the many doors it opens. We fund the Hormuud University, extensive scholarship programmes and the Al Nur School for the blind. Our mission is to help all Somali people build livelihoods and lead healthy, happier, and safer lives.
