Welcome to the world of the HUMADEX Research Group from Laboratory for Digital Signal Processing at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science University of Maribor. As reliable and pro-active partners in projects funded by Horizon Europe, our focus lies particularly on Research and Innovation Actions (RIA) and Innovation Actions (IA), with a specialization in pilots conducted in clinical and educational environments. Our multidisciplinary group brings together experts with diverse knowledge and skills covering:

• Spoken and natural language generation and processing
• Digital Interventions and Patient Sensing
• Decision support systems and care planning
• Artificial Intelligence and Explainable AI
• Piloting, Study Design and Management
Fostering cross-collaboration with psychologists and psychiatrists, within our team and from the Faculty of Arts, d+Department of Psychology of University of Maribor, particularly in the fields of human-centric research, independent living, mental health and pedo-psychiatry.
Another member of research group is Social Robot Frida that reflects our dedication to exploring the vast possibilities of AI in enhancing human experiences and contributing to more patient-centric healthcare. Through collaborative efforts, and strong support of domain experts in University Medical Center Maribor, we aspire to redefine the capabilities of digital solutions and artificial intelligence, where technology intersects with our daily lives.
