Human Impact Engineering (HIE) is one of Australia's leading engineering consultancies specialising in impact injury biomechanics. HIE offers research and development support in automotive and transport safety, sports and recreation, occupational or workplace safety, and forensics. Founded by Tom Gibson in 1996, HIE is a multidisciplinary team of skilled engineering professionals with backgrounds in mechanical, automotive and biomechanical engineering.
