Work is where many of us spend most of our waking hours. Yet, it’s often where empathy is in shortest supply. Humankind @ Work is a storytelling initiative created to spotlight the quiet moments of humanity—sometimes comforting, sometimes confronting—that happen inside workplaces around the world. We collect anonymous stories of empathy (or its absence) at work and share them to spark awareness, dialogue, and change. These are not just “feel-good” stories. They are raw. Real. Sometimes unresolved. But always rooted in one simple truth: people remember how they were made to feel. Whether it was a supportive gesture during burnout, or a silence that made grief harder—these moments shape us. We believe that empathy at work is not a “nice-to-have.” It’s culture. It’s leadership.
