The Humber Arboretum offers 100 hectares (nearly 250 acres) of public gardens and natural areas connected to Humber Polytechnic North Campus. Located in the Humber River watershed in North Etobicoke, the Humber Arboretum exists as a unique tri-partnership between Humber Polytechnic, the City of Toronto, and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA).
The Humber Arboretum is free to visit and open to the general public. A variety of educational programming is offered out of the LEED Gold Certified Centre for Urban Ecology, including nature camps, bird walks, and regular gardening workshops.
For Humber Polytechnic students, the Humber Arboretum offers a variety of high-quality on-campus work opportunities, plus the Learning by Leading(TM) service learning experience. For Humber Polytechnic staff, the Arboretum offers excellent spaces for outdoor learning and the expertise to help you connect nature and sustainability to your research projects and academic plans.
