About HUNT Research Center

HUNT (The Trøndelag Health Study) is a large, Norwegian, population-based health survey that includes health information and biological material from the inhabitants of Trøndelag county. 250,000 people have participated since the first survey in 1984, and we plan to carry out our fifth survey, HUNT5, from 2027-2029. HUNT is also a research center that manages and conducts research on HUNT data through our state-of-the-art biobank and databank. We offer different services for researchers, such as storage, processing, analysis and safe delivery of research material. The centre is located at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, at The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Levanger, Norway.
