Following the model developed by Open Legal Services and Fair Shake Environmental Legal Services, Hunter & Hunter is a non-traditional private law firm committed to providing solid legal representation at rates that your average individual, small business, non-profit, or municipality can afford.
We became attorneys to help people protect what they love and to make a good living, not to get rich. We also believe justice isn’t just for the wealthy. In order to do the work we love and represent the folks we want to represent, we provide client-centered representation on a sliding scale. We charge between $45 and $175 an hour (based on income and family size [if you’re an individual] or on operational budget [if you’re an organization, business, or municipality]). Where appropriate, we may offer flat rate and unbundled legal services, and some cases may be considered on a contingency or fee-recovery basis. We are able to provide these reduced rates by keeping our costs low and focusing on what we do best.
