The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) is the largest institution within the University of Pennsylvania Health System (Penn Medicine) and is world-renowned for its clinical and research excellence. In addition, the Department of Pharmacy has over 50 years of experience in residency training, due in large part to the dedicated staff and preceptors. We offer comprehensive pharmacy services for all patients, including inpatient, ambulatory, emergency department, and outpatient retail, and specialty.
In October 2021 HUP embarked on an innovative journey to open a first of its kind building, the Pavilion, now housing over 500 beds, 47 operating rooms, and a two-story emergency department. Equipped with new technologies and state-of-the-art facilities, we are able to advance patient care services and pharmacy practice as one of the top hospitals in the United States.
