Using a color-coded system, the bar informs the physician in real-time about how the cost of the care elements ordered for a patient compares to the average cost for other patients with the same diagnosis being treated by a community of care givers. HVA can use either physician or hospital-specific data to drive the bar’s movement. The bar moves in real-time as each order is entered.
