In 1986, Latina visionaries from across Texas recognized the need for a statewide Latina-based leadership organization. HWNT became a state-wide organization with headquarters located in Austin, Texas made up of 7 chapters across the state of Texas: Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, and the Rio Grande Valley. Our members are from diverse backgrounds, each of them committed to promoting the participation of Hispanic women in public, corporate and civic arenas. Together we seek to celebrate the positive image and values of the Hispanic culture.
HWNT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and has become the premier Hispanic women's organization in Texas. Collaboration is fundamental to our success.
