HydraTek was initially founded in the late 1980's in order to link leading academic research with the need for high quality consulting engineering services for problems involving water hammer (surge) in pipe systems. Since its inception, HydraTek has completed over 500 specialty hydraulic analysis and investigation projects in a diverse range of pipe systems, including: water supply and distribution, wastewater collection, fuel supply networks, slurry paste systems, oil and gas transmission, and hydroelectric installations.
Under its present corporate direction and high level technical expertise, HydraTek offers a diverse range of specialty services including: comprehensive hydraulic analysis, hydraulic modelling, transient/surge analysis, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), customized training and education, field investigation and testing, peer review and quality control, pump efficiency assessment, research and development, hydraulic and energy optimization, and high level design, for a variety of complex hydraulic and energy systems.
