My education and professional career has centred around municipal infrastructure systems - particularly urban water - in various capacities including the planning, design, analysis, construction, operations, management, financing and investment. I am currently an active shareholder of three firms with varying but related specializations, and involved in several other organizations. Following my graduate degree in Civil Engineering where I focussed on hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, I joined a consultancy in the Toronto area which was largely responsible for the implementation of new infrastructure systems in conjunction with land development projects. Following a 9 year tenure there, I completed my MBA and pursued my long-standing interest in infrastructure finance and investment which had been ignited years back while contemplating a PhD in the subject matter, however, this path was set aside in favour of professional practice.In 2006, I established a strategic relationship with HydraTek & Associates in addition to setting up a consulting practice, Fabian Papa & Partners. I continue to be pleasanty surprised by the success and growth of these firms, in addition to the professional satisfaction that is derived from them.In 2007, I was appointed a director of Boswell Capital Corporation who, in addition to providing valuable international experience in the field of finance and investment, also provided the platform from which I founded Vatten Infrastructure in 2008.
