In unserer Halle im Süden Kölns, können wir ab August 2023 bis zu 90.000 Pflanzen im Monat produzieren. Und auch wenn das nach Industrie und wenig nach Natur klingt - unsere Qualität und der Eco-Footprint sind sogar besser als Bio!
Wir betreiben mit dem Konzept der Hydroponik auf ca. 500qm eine der ersten "Vertical Farms" im Kölner Raum. Mit dem Anbau von vielen Pflanzen auf so kleiner Fläche, sagen wir dem sinkenden Grundwasserspiegel den Kampf an und versuchen wir der Natur wieder Raum zu geben und Platz für regenerative landwirtschaftliche Projekte zu schaffen.
Und der Impact ist groß: Für ein Kilogramm Salat brauchen wir nur 36l Wasser - in einer konventionellen Anbauweise gehen dafür bis zu 240l drauf. Zusätzlich sparen wir Ressourcen durch kurze Transportwege und können - ganzjährig - immer so flexibel produzieren, dass kein Foodwaste entsteht.
