Metallic bellows are produced using various technologies, depending on the application, to produce single or multi-ply units with a number of convolutions – the term used for the shape of the bellows form. Most precision bellows are manufactured by the hydroforming process, where a thin-walled plain tube is internally pressurised and simultaneously collapsed along its axis to form convolutions in the tube.
