Energy has already gone through several major evolutions. From wood to coal and steam 150 years ago, to oil, gas and power 100 years ago, nuclear and hydro 50 years ago, and recently wind and solar energy. Green hydrogen is next. Why ? 50% of final energy uses is heating and 30% is transport, and they rely mainly on natural gas and oil, both emiting CO2. Noisy motors, turbines and heaters are additionally used when combustion takes place. But the world aims at zero noise / emissions energy solutions. Green hydrogen is the solution ! Produced via electrolysis, it can first help store large amount of green power. Second it allows for noise and emissions free heating, mobility and industrial processes to take place. It replaces here hydrogen that is currently produced from natural gas with CO2 and is needed in many industries (production of fertilizers, chemicals, steel, ...). According to a recent Mc Kinsey study it can reduce 20% of the world CO2 emissions by 2050.
