Hyperion Bots

Hyperion Bots (FTC Team 18011) is a competitive high school robotics team based at Parklands College in Cape Town, South Africa. Founded in 2019 but revived in late 2024, the team is driven by a passion for innovation, STEM education, and community impact. As one of South Africa’s top-performing FIRST Tech Challenge teams, Hyperion Bots earned national recognition with a 2nd place Inspire Award and proudly represented the country at the 2025 World Championship in Houston. The team blends strong engineering, programming, and strategic design skills with a commitment to mentorship and outreach. From hosting local scrimmages, delivering STEM workshops, and supporting under-resourced learners. The Hyperion Bots continue to grow as leaders in youth robotics, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving.
