I.D.O

i.d.o is a non-profit association dedicated to offering design and architectural skills to develop sustainable and solidarity-based projects, in order to help isolated people to struggle against poverty and exclusion, in France and abroad. Focusing on the possibilities of the different environments - materials locally available, cultural assets - it aims at setting mid and long-term collaborations with local communities and promoting the transmission and exchange of skills and expertises, so as to generate social, economic and environmental impacts. From the creation of objects to the design of architectural spaces, i.d.o gets into all projects questioning the materiality of living conditions (housing, collective structures, objects), and helps people who are trying to preserve their traditions and environment while developing their activities with few means.
