The location comprised the factory as well as a retail operation and Varian was a significant employer in Dublin with nearly 300 people employed there in 1948. Today the company is still 100% Irish owned and based in Walkinstown, Dublin. Apart from Brushware, a lot of which is still manufactured and assembled in Ireland, it is a leading supplier of products in the respective markets of Hardware, Paint/DIY and Household sectors.
