i2MS has developed an insect biodiversity monitoring system to help fresh fruit and vegetables farmers cut operational costs, using an autonomous insect bottle trap and a monitoring system software. The use of autonomous intelligent traps to remotely and online collect data from insect catches and weather parameters from the field, in a non costly and practical way, help farmers to master Integrated Pest Management techniques and to predict and alert the appearance of new imbalances in pest insect populations.
