IADC PDEU Student Chapter

The International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) Student Chapter at Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) – formerly Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University – was established on 28 September 2020. Mr. Mike DuBose, IADC Senior Vice President of International Development, was present when the PDEU Student Chapter was officially established as the 2nd IADC Student Chapter in India and the 9th in the world. IADC is a non-profit trade association that is the global leader in advancing the oil-and-gas and geothermal drilling and completion industry worldwide. IADC’s contract-drilling Members own most of the world’s drilling units, both on land and offshore, and drill the vast majority of the wells that produce the planet’s oil and gas. IADC welcomes the Membership of all types of companies across the industry that share a commitment to improving safety and the environment, advancing drilling technology, striving for reasonable regulation and legislation, and enhancing personnel competence. Founded in 1940, IADC is recognized worldwide for its accreditation programs, conferences, advocacy efforts, and industry news. IADC’s mission is to improve industry health, safety, and environmental practices; advance drilling and completion technology; and champion responsible standards, practices, legislation, and regulations that provide for safe, efficient, and environmentally sound drilling operations.
