Established in 2002, IBA is a private campus located in historic Kandy city, Sri Lanka. It is one of the most renowned and senior campuses, which has been providing education for local students for over 15 years. In addition, since 2005, campus operations have been spreading out with more branches around Sri Lanka in an effort to grant local students opportunities to gain tertiary education, and currently we have nine branches under the purview of the main Kandy campus.
In 2009, IBA had one of the biggest increases in applications of all the private campuses in Sri Lanka. Again in the academic year of 2017, the number of students of all subjects increased sharply and currently the campus has around 6,500 students, many of whom are mature students. Up to now, more than 25,000 students have completed their courses in terms of the academic and professional programs, degree and professional programs successfully, and the majority of these past students have attained excellent results.
2002: IBA campus was founded by Mr. Sisira Wickramasingha 2003: Expanded academic programmes from 1 year to final year
2004: Expanded lecture panel from various fields
2005: Expanded Professional Education
2006: Established three study centers in Maharagama, Galle and Kurunegala.
2007: Expanded the operations to Colombo
2008: Commenced new branches in Matara, Rathnapura and Badulla
2009: Had a surprising increase in student recruitment
2010: Received two significant affiliations with City & Guilds, UK and AAT Sri Lanka
2011: Moved from previous premises to modern spacious campus at Asgiriya, Kandy
2012: Had historical recorded results in AAT Sri Lanka with highest number of Prize Winners
2013: Introduced OBT (Outward Bound Training) activities for the undergraduate students
2014: Donated a large amount of money for the prevention of cancer in mother land through a Cooperative Social Responsibilities (CRS) project
2015: The MBA programme by AeU University was introduced to IBA campus
