Inflammatory Bowel Disease Middle East (IBD-ME) is a focussed, multi-country, non-profit, healthcare professional organization dedicated to representing the interests of patients with IBD in the Middle East. Our passion lies in addressing the unmet needs of these patients and advancing their outcomes through scientific, research-based initiatives.
In November 2019, stakeholders convened to assess the necessity and viability of establishing a regional IBD patient registry. This led to the formation of a Steering Committee to champion the initiative, culminating in the official incorporation of IBD-ME Ltd in 2021.
While IBD-ME is a relatively young organization, it has evolved from a patient registry-focused entity to a research organization, governed by a dedicated Board of Directors, with a specific focus on IBD.
