About IBG @ TU Graz
In addition to serving our students, the institute performs research in the fields of soil mechanics and foundation engineering. The aim is to provide a basis for new technologies and methods in design and construction. Research activities include, but are not restricted to, laboratory and in-situ tests, development of constitutive laws for soils & novel finite elements types, limit analysis methods, AI & ML, BIM-to-FEM interoperability, real-time back analysis, ground model & spatial uncertainty, green engineering as well as the development of design measures.
