IBMS - Institute for Advanced Biomechanics and Motion Studies

The Institute for Advanced Biomechanics and Motion Studies (IBMS) conducts research and development in the field of biomechanics, focusing on the complex analysis of human movement. Our research areas include fall prevention, optimization of joint stress, and improvement of human-technology interaction. Additionally, we investigate complex biomechanical movements and load in a sports context, emphasizing performance enhancement, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. We also address the development of methods for motion analysis outside laboratory settings, functional statistics, and the generation and analysis of large biomechanical datasets. IBMS aims for interdisciplinary collaboration among professors and partnerships with regional and international companies, institutions, and organizations. Our goal is to promote the application and advancement of technologies, conduct studies, and collaboratively develop solutions for new challenges with our partners.
