IBP Network

A GLOBAL PLATFORM FOR LOCAL IMPACT With 130+ member organizations representing international NGOs, local CSOs, academia and others, the IBP Network convenes partners to share effective practices and tools to support family planning and reproductive health programming. Activities focus on supporting knowledge exchange, documentation and implementation research efforts. We organize webinars/events and host an online knowledge exchange platform on FP/SRH. VISION Global FP/SRH guidelines and effective practices are disseminated and implemented to improve reproductive health outcomes around the world. MISSION To support dissemination and use of evidence-based guidelines and programmatic interventions in FP/SRH, through IBP’s convening power, diverse membership and neutral platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration. HISTORY The partnership was initiated in 1999 by the World Health Organization (WHO), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and nine cooperating agencies. OBJECTIVES - To disseminate evidence-based guidelines, tools and practices in FP/RH - To support the implementation and use of guidelines and evidence-based practices in FP/RH - To facilitate better collaboration and partnership between stakeholders in the FP/RH community GOVERNANCE The IBP Secretariat is hosted by the Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) at WHO. A Steering Committee meets quarterly to review workplace, strategies and help provide strategic direction.
