The Algorithmic Trading Society was founded in March 2018 with the aim of bringing students together to develop their understanding of the application algorithms in a financially driven context. We host weekly meetings along side our headline event algothon (algothon.org). We hope to build a community of Algo traders that can help improve one another.

We are also the parent of the Imperial College Women in Trading Society ("WiT"), introducing STEM-focused women at Imperial College London to the fast-moving world of finance and markets by bridging the gap between hard-science classrooms and live trading floors. We curate technical workshops, panel discussions with market-making and buy-side professionals, and hands-on trading simulations that demystify industry jargon while building practical skills.
