Queen's Tower Capital (QT Capital Ltd.)

QT Capital Ltd. is an Investment Fund founded in January 2017 by 3 markets interns studying at Imperial College London. The trades were based on Macro momentum-based views expressed via ETFs and CFDs. In 2018 it expanded to become a group of 21 students running a £7000+ portfolio with 3 teams including Portfolio and Risk Analysts, Research Analysts and Quantitative Analysts. Divided in 3 divisions: Research, Engineering and Portfolio Managers, QT Capital Engineering became the leader in technology and information systems among student-managed investment funds. The division was responsible for building tools to automate data processing and developing quantitative trading strategies. QT Capital had two sub-divisions, consisting of front-end developers and infrastructure engineers to undertake various projects to improve the efficiency of daily operations of the firm. The risk-management system was based on Python with the use of various scientific computation and financial packages including Pandas and Quandl. QT Capital Ltd. has been relaunched (est. August 2021) by co-founders and Imperial students Ahmad Danesh, Oscar Wooding and Frank Shang. It functions with 3 separate funds – Main Fund (Equities), Systematic Fund and a Cryptocurrency Fund. QT analysts pitch every Tuesday and post weekly market & sector summaries based off macro- & microeconomic trends.
