Trauma doesn't just affect our minds; it causes physical problems, such as cardiovascular complications or autoimmune disorders, and its effects permeate daily lives. It can leads to societal issues such as domestic violence and substance abuse. While individual trauma has been explored for decades, the complex web of mass and collective trauma remains less understood. The very fabric of our society depends on how we respond to the trauma now, and how we prepare for the long-term effects. ICAR, Israel's Collective Action for Resilience, brings together diverse and leading experts in medicine, psychology, public health, philanthropy and investment, that are committed to accelerating trauma healing to safeguard the health, productivity, and security of Israel.
