Industria Camaronera Del Sur was founded in 1991 and is dedicated to shrimp production (Penaeus Vannamei) in salt water.
With a farm of 157 hectares of salt water ponds which are planted twice a year for a total planted area of 314 hectares a year. Out of the total area 26 hectares are equipped with aeration systems for intensive production, the results are promising and the plan is to convert the whole farm to this new production scheme.
Annually more than 1.3 million pounds of whole shrimps are produced and all of it is exported to the US and European markets.
We are pioneers in Honduras in raising shrimps without using antibiotics, this allows us to produce a healthier product for consumers and avoid damage to the environment.
