iCON Enterprise Foundation (iCON)

The iCON Enterprise Foundation (iCON) is a Ugandan non-profit family-focused organization dedicated to addressing contemporary leadership challenges by supporting the growth of visionary male and female family leadership. We emphasize the critical role of parents, parental figures, and guardians at the family level in addressing gender discrimination, nurturing transformational and entrepreneurial leaders across generations, fostering a culture of family wellbeing, and driving socio-economic transformation for a just world. Families are at the heart of our approach and four broad Leadership Academies are convened to nurture entrepreneurial leaders who serve as change makers in their families, workplaces, and communities in diverse socio-economic contexts, fields and disciplines. The Leadership Academies promote the growth of a movement of changemaking transformative entrepreneurial leaders through peer support, and acquisition of leadership life skills in immersive 6 to 12-month cohorts. Changing Mindsets, Nurturing Entrepreneurial Leaders and Creating Social Transformation is the theme of the Leadership Academies. A Family Support Program (FSP) designed to support children at extreme risk of dropping out of school complements the Leadership Academies.
