iConnect is a London-based network for professional women. We host lunch time events and seminars to inspire and connect talented female professionals in insurance and adjacent industries. iConnect exists to inspire, inform and empower women to achieve their potential.
At iConnect, we believe that successful corporate networking positively influences your career. Our network will help you to fulfil your career ambitions – enabling you to access job opportunities, information, career advice, support, introductions to business leads, strategic knowledge and more.
iConnect was founded by three friends and insurance professionals, Peta Kilian, Hannah Kate Smith and Gemma Jarrett. Peta found that she was having the same conversations with many different women across the industry. She realised that bringing these women together could create mutual benefit.
Hannah wanted to find a space that would encourage open discussion about many of these topics, without the fear of being judged or saying the 'wrong' thing. She knew there was much to be learned and gained from her peers across the industry, but there wasn't a group that brought everyone together, a cross-generational, cross-functional community. iConnect was the answer: creating a community and providing everybody with a hub to talk openly about their experiences.
Gemma's motivation for iConnect was inspired by the lack of female representation in senior positions within the insurance industry. Yet, within her network, she could see so many ambitious, smart women with high potential. She wanted to spend more time with those women, to learn from them and share experiences. From this iConnect has evolved - we support women to progress their careers in insurance.
Peta, Hannah and Gemma are all passionate about promoting equality and supporting women across the industry and beyond.
