Since its inception in 1968, the “International Conference on Production Diseases in Farm Animals” (ICPD) has attracted scientists from multidisciplinary fields within animal science and veterinary medicine to discuss the links between animal disease and husbandry factors. The conference addresses a larger goal of defining a path towards producing animals in a more healthy, welfare-friendly and efficient manner and addresses the different factors influencing health, including nutrition, endocrinology, physiology, immunohistology, genetics, and animal behaviour.
