ICS Middle East branch (Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers)

The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) is the professional body for all members of the commercial shipping industry worldwide. The Institute was founded in 1911 and awarded a Royal Charter in 1920. ICS sets and examines the syllabus for membership, providing the shipping industry with highly qualified professionals. ICS is the only internationally recognized professional body in the commercial maritime arena and it represents all related entities throughout the world. Introduction The Branch was established in 1995, with office in Dubai. The Branch holds a mix of functions like Education classes for students, Intensive prep session prior to the exams, Corporate trainings, Networking Sessions, Social gatherings and Seminars. Dubai is an examination centre for the Middle East and near African countries. Branch Composition The Middle East Branch primarily comprises Fellow and Members based in the UAE, GCC and other near Middle East Countries. The branch membership represents various aspects of shipping world like Ship-owning, Chartering, Cargo Trading, broking, agency, surveying, ship chandelling, legal, insurance. Off-shore supply and ship operations.
