Exercise and physical activity are essential for improved well-being and health. User-friendly technology can motivate more and better home training. That was the idea when we developed Icura in collaboration with therapists and clinicians in 2013. Today, Icura is used in 30 municipalities in Denmark and in Sweden. Icura users exercise often and systematically on their own – regardless of age, background and physical abilities. Icura guides and motivates in home training with easy instructions, and registration of performed exercises and daily activity. Data is sent to the user's associated therapist, who gains invaluable knowledge about the user's training effort, physical activity and current level of function. Ongoing documentation, a focus on mastering daily tasks and a close contact with professional staff are the core of remotely monitored training with Icura – a powerful tool to motivate and lift citizens in retraining and rehabilitation processes. Icura is CE marked and registered as medical equipment. Icura is used by a wide variety of target groups.
