The International Community of Women Living with HIV-Kenya chapter (ICW-Kenya) is a national network run by and for women living with HIV and AIDS in Kenya; it was registered in 2012, as a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Kenya. The main objective and focus area of the network is to champion the interests of women living with HIV in Kenya to improve on their lives and ensure they realize human rights and dignity.
ICW-Kenya achieves its main goal through focused advocacy processes at national and devolved county levels and design and implement programs that directly target women living with HIV in capacity building, sensitization ad awareness creation and increasing access to basic services including health care . The network also strives to empower women living with HIV to achieve economic stability and mitigate the impact of HIV on their livelihood.
The network’s long term vision is to have a world where the human rights of Women Living with HIV are respected and supported to be meaningfully involved where decisions that affect our lives are being made at all levels in Kenya
ICW-Kenya is part of the regional and global network of women living with HIV and has been engaged in grassroots, national and regional activities that inform global action; strengthening the voice of women living with HIV across board.
