Independent musicians in Idaho often operate without financial stability. Unforeseen medical emergencies or lost/damaged instruments can derail careers entirely. After The Music Foundation is a 501(c)3 Corporation will provide vital needs for musicians in crisis, providing assistance for medical expenses, stolen or damaged instruments, and even funeral costs. This work is essential in Idaho, where the tight labor market and rural disparities can leave musicians without safety net. After the Music Foundation will provide, for example, a funeral cremation grant/voucher that they could use at any funeral home. Through Concerts, Fundraisers, Corporate/Private Donations and Grants, our purpose is to help those musicians in their time of need and lighten the costly burden associated during their time of need. After a review by the board, a voucher would be granted for funds, for example, with the closest participating funeral home for a simple cremation (Including Removal/Cremation Container/Remains Container/Cremation Process). ***Other services provided by the funeral home would be the responsibility of the family depending on the type of extra services that are offered (Memorial Event At Funeral Home/Internment/Special Containers/Urns).
