Ideal Utility Services is the creator and manufacturer of the industry's most innovative ballistic barrier. While competitors are still using out-of-date, less protective concrete for its walls, IUS worked with Ideal Steel to invent and manufacture a state-of-the-art, U.S. Steel, UL-752 certified, critical asset protection barrier that is made to withstand and prevent terrorist attacks on electrical substations and bulk power systems. This includes attacks from ballistics, fire, ramming or climbing. The ballistic barrier offers much more than any other barrier on the market. That includes protection from the inside the substation, rather than at the perimeter, against ballistics while still allowing critical airflow to the assets being protected. The barrier system is customizable in both build and installation options, as it can be installed as close as 18" from the critical asset.
