IDEAS – Institute of Data Engineering, Analytics and Science Foundation is the Technology Innovation Hub set up at ISI Kolkata under the aegis of National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) to focus on Technology Development and Translation, HRD, Technology Start-up Development and Collaborative Research in the area of Data Science, Big Data Analytics and Data Curation. The hub is committed to design and develop effective and scalable algorithms distributed machine learning models to solve real life problems and help in decision making for businesses and the Government. The focus domain for the Hub at this time is Smart agriculture, Smart healthcare, Ecology and Climate informatics, IoT based Smart City applications, Video Surveillance applications, Cybersecurity and Web and Text mining.
