The European project iDEM will create AI tools that simplify and make information more understandable for participating in democratic debate, targeting people with communication difficulties or intellectual disabilities. The project is lead by the University Pompeu Fabra (UPF) joins collaboration with other 10 European partners to carry out the project, including universities, institutions, social entities and technology companies.
The iDEM project, began in January 2024 and will last three years, will develop inclusive technologies aimed at groups currently excluded and marginalized from democratic debates.
