Institute of Digital sciences, Management and Cognition (IDMC)

The Institute of Digital sciences, Management and Cognition (IDMC) is a university school of experts in digital sciences, cognitive sciences and innovation, particularly sought after for their multidisciplinarity and their multiple skills. The main missions of IDMC are: - train, in collaboration with the professional and research communities, in digital sciences applied to information systems and cognitive engineering; - to encourage and promote all research activities and their transfer to companies, whether they are fundamental or applied, in collaboration with research centers or organizations and in the fields of its competence; - develop partnerships at national and international level with public or private organizations, or other higher education institutions. To carry out these missions, both in the field of knowledge transfer and in the field of research, IDMC relies mainly on close collaborations with the other components of the University of Lorraine. IDMC is also a member of Collegium Lorraine Management Innovation alongside IAE Metz and IAE Nancy. The high-level professionals trained by IDMC acquire their ability to understand and integrate the strategic and innovative areas of the company through 3 academic careers: - MIASHS (L1 to L3): Mathematics and Computer Science Applied to Social and Human Sciences; - MIAGE (Master): Mathematics and Computer Science Applied to Business Management and more broadly to information systems; - COGNITION & LANGUAGE (Master) with 2 distinct mentions: the Master of Cognitive Sciences (SC) and the Erasmus Mundus Master of Natural Language Processing (NLP).
