Idée Fixe

Idée Fixe is a new dedicated Blanc de Blancs house, located in the south of Margaret River. It is birthed out of Vasse Felix, where sparkling winemaking has been a quiet obsession since 1985. The vineyard of Idée Fixe are located in the region’s deep south, where they are exposed to the biting cold winds of the Southern Ocean. The story began in the southern-most Karridale Vineyard, where cloudy, humid conditions and rare pockets of quartz based soils by Dunsborough Fault line grew an unexpected style of Chardonnay in the property’s ‘D Block’. Delicate in fruit power and high in natural acidity, the mysterious clonal selection proved perfect for a unique Margaret River Blanc de Blancs.
