IEEE Engineering for Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) is a technical chapter under Vellore Institute of Technology, part of the bigger IEEE EMBS chapter worldwide. Founded in July 2012, we won the best chapter worldwide in 2014. The core purpose of IEEE EMBS is to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. The VIT chapter of IEEE EMBS works toward achieving this goal by conducting multiple activities and student engagements like hands-on workshops, webinars, seminars, events, hackathons, project works, research papers etc.
Although our core chapter mentions specifically about medicine and biology, we, the members of IEEE EMBS don't limit ourselves to that. We conduct multiple interdisciplinary workshops and events focusing on the all-round and Goliath development of an engineer.
