Inicios en el grupo de Biomecatrónica del Centro de Desarrollo e Investigación en Mecatrónica (CEDIM) de la Facultad de Ingeniería Mecánica (FIM), UNI. Su creación oficial se llevó a cabo el día 23 de septiembre del 2016 y desde entonces se ha logrado la participación de algunos miembros en conferencias internacionales como EMBC'16, Orlando (EEUU) y aceptación en EMBC'17, Jeju (Korea).
