IEEE METU Student Branch is one of the more than 1300 student branches of IEEE in 80 countries. IEEE METU operates under IEEE Region 8 (EMEA), IEEE Turkey Section and Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey. Sustaining the projects has always been one of the main goals. Helping the members in their personal development through the projects has been another important goal. With the members from diverse majors the projects have appealed to a large group of people.
The projects of IEEE METU, whose one of main principles is systematic growth, have received wide national media coverage. Thus, it shows the diverse atmosphere and how successful the members are. As a socially responsible student organization, after organizing many successful national and international events, IEEE METU has earned a highly respected place among student organizations in Turkey.
