iEMSs - The International Environmental Modelling & Software Society

The 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 (iEMSs – pronounced “eye-em-es”) is a not-for-profit organization that brings together individuals and organizations working in environmental modelling, software development, and related fields. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 is to advance science and support better decision-making on environmental and resource issues through the development and application of environmental modelling and software tools. We emphasize interdisciplinarity and the integration of models, data, and tools across issues, scales, disciplines, and stakeholders. 𝗶𝗘𝗠𝗦𝘀 𝗮𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼: • Foster collaboration among natural, physical, and social scientists, economists, and software developers globally • Strengthen connections between science and environmental decision-making • Facilitate the exchange of knowledge across academic, governmental, non-governmental, and private sectors 𝗧𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗶𝗘𝗠𝗦𝘀: • Organizes international conferences, meetings, and training courses • Oversees its two official journals: Environmental Modelling & Software (EMS) and Socio-Environmental Systems Modelling (SESMO) • Maintains a website, mailing lists, and social media channels – including this LinkedIn page – to share updates, opportunities, and research • Provides a platform for knowledge sharing and professional networking Join us in advancing the science, tools, and community behind environmental modelling and decision support.
