Institute of Power Engineering - National Research Institute

The Institute of Power Engineering - National Research Institute (IPE-NRI) is one of Poland's largest institutes conducting research in energy technology. The Institute is a modern research and implementation center under the Ministry of Climate and Environment. The Institute's activities cover a wide area of energy research: from expert work for the electric power sector to the most advanced future-oriented energy generation technologies, such as fuel cells, clean coal technologies and renewable energy sources. The Institute's strengths are its experienced scientific and engineering staff and its modern, often unique laboratory facilities. The Institute is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Energy Research Alliance EERA and participates in the implementation of numerous international research projects of the European Union. The mission of the Institute of Power Engineering - National Research Institute is to develop innovative technologies leading to the creation of a sustainable and safe energy system. The Institute of Power Engineering promotes sustainable forms of energy generation and consumption, energy conservation and efficiency, clean methods of using fossil fuels and integrating renewable energy sources into energy systems with its research and implementation, expert and consulting activities. IPE-NRI's ambition is to become Central Europe's most prominent modern energy research, implementation and consulting center, comparable to the largest, most advanced energy research centers in Europe, participating in creating the directions of future European energy development.
